Simple, Reusable Containment for Drips and Leaks

A drip tray provides a defined area in which leaks, drips, splashes and minor spills can be collected before they spread across a floor, contaminate surrounding materials or create additional cleaning work.

Trays can be positioned beneath machinery, vehicles, generators, drums, containers, pipework, pumps and other equipment where liquid loss is foreseeable. They are also useful during maintenance, fluid transfer, storage and temporary repair work.

DripTrays.co.uk offers a broad range of rigid plastic trays, from compact drip pans for small containers to large industrial trays and bunded models with removable grids. The site is operated by Serpro Ltd, a UK spill-management supplier established in 2009.

Explore the Drip Tray Range

Choose according to the footprint of the equipment or container, the likely leak volume and whether a raised removable grid is required.

Compact Drip Trays

Small drip pans and narrow trays for bottles, cans, benchtop equipment, small pumps, workshop tools and localised leak points where space is limited.

General-Purpose Drip Trays

Versatile medium-size trays for workshops, machinery, maintenance areas, storage shelves and routine industrial leak containment.

Browse general drip trays

Long and Narrow Trays

Elongated trays for pipework, machinery bases, vehicle components, production equipment and installations where length matters more than overall width.

View long drip trays

Large Spill Trays

Large square and rectangular trays for substantial equipment, generators, vehicle parts, larger containers and broader areas requiring secondary containment.

Bunded Drum and Container Trays

Raised containment trays for drums, cans and containers, including models with removable grids that keep stored items above collected liquid.

How to Choose the Right Drip Tray

Check the equipment footprint, available space, possible leak volume and liquid compatibility before selecting a tray.

Measure the Footprint

Measure the full width and depth of the container, machinery or equipment that will sit inside or above the tray.

Check Internal Dimensions

External dimensions do not represent the usable base area. Confirm the minimum internal dimensions on the product page.

Allow for Displacement

Equipment or containers placed inside a tray reduce the volume available for collected liquid.

Check the Liquid

Confirm that the tray material is compatible with the liquid, its concentration, temperature and expected contact time.

Need Help Working Out the Right Size?

Use the Drip Tray Size and Type Calculator to compare the equipment or container footprint, tray dimensions, available capacity and optional chemical guidance.

Open, Bunded or Gridded Drip Tray?

Each design suits a different type of equipment, container and containment task.

Tray type Best suited to Principal advantage Important consideration
Open drip tray Machinery, components, vehicles and direct leak collection Simple, lightweight and easy to inspect or clean Items placed inside may stand in collected liquid
Bunded container tray Drums, cans, bottles and chemical containers Raised sides provide a defined secondary containment area Usable capacity reduces when containers displace space
Gridded drip tray Containers or equipment that should remain above collected liquid Removable grid separates stored items from leaks The grid and tray must both be checked for load and chemical suitability
Long narrow tray Pipework, machinery bases and elongated equipment Provides useful length without occupying excessive floor width Ensure the leak path remains above the tray throughout operation
Large-area tray Generators, substantial equipment and broad work areas Greater footprint and potential containment capacity Consider access, handling, floor condition and removal of collected liquid

Check Capacity, Compatibility and Safe Positioning

A drip tray should be selected for the credible leak volume, not merely the smallest everyday drip. Remember that any machinery, container, support or grid occupying the tray reduces the capacity available for liquid.

Polypropylene and other plastics are suitable for many liquids, but no tray material should be assumed to resist every chemical, concentration or temperature. Check the relevant Safety Data Sheet and confirm material compatibility before use.

Position the tray on a stable, level surface where it will not create a trip hazard or obstruct access. Inspect it regularly and remove collected liquid before the safe containment capacity is exceeded.

Drip Trays for Work, Industry and Home

Reusable trays provide practical containment wherever equipment, containers or vehicles may release liquid.
